Cleaning and Sanitizing in the Catering Industry
In addition to it's usefulness as a hospital environmental disinfectant, Chlor-Clean may also be used in catering departments, kitchens and for food preparation areas where cleanliness is as important as disinfection.
Cleaning and Disinfection in One Operation
Chlor-Clean has been developed specifically for this purpose. By
creating a new surfactant that will work with the chlorine we have
produced a tablet that, once dissolved in water, will give a solution
that will both clean and disinfect at one and the same time. This not
only reduces the time taken to perform the cleaning process but improves
the efficiency of the disinfection at the same time.
Proven by Independent Testing to BS:EN Standards
Tests using BS:EN 1276 Standard, by an independent laboratory, have
shown Chlor-Clean solutions to be effective against infection-causing
bacteria such as E. Coli, Pseudomonas, Klebsiella, Staphylococcus
(MRSA), Enterococcus, Acinetobacter and Clostridium difficile.
Further testing by an independent laboratory has shown Chlor-Clean to
exceed the requirements of the BS:EN 13704 Sporicidal Standard against
Clostridium difficile spores.
Used at 200 ppm available chlorine concentration (1 tablet dissolved in 5 litres of water), the Chlor-Clean solution is an efficient combined cleaning
agent and sanitizer for worktops, tables, walls, cupboards, chill cabinets,
refrigerators and all hard surfaces. It may also be used for crockery and
cutlery.
At 1,000 ppm available chlorine (1 tablet dissolved in 1 litre of water) it provides effective disinfection of surfaces contaminated with Salmonella, Listeria, E.Coli, Staphylococci etc.
