New recommendations on how to deal with the problem of Clostridium difficile.
January 2009: The Department of Health has published a new document  of the management of Clostridium Difficile Infections (CDI).

This comprehensive and detailed guidance includes recommendations on all aspects of CDI including surveillance, management and treatment, prevention, CDI in the community, death certification as well as governance, audit and performance indicators.  The recommendations on prevention through the environmental  cleaning and disinfection in section 6  are particularly clear cut and easy to follow.

The guidance, which updates and replaces the 1994  working group report is available from the DH Publications Orderline or follow the link from our useful links page.

New Products
In response to customer requests we have recently introduced a single use ‘Spill Pak’ for urine and vomit spills that complements our established multi-use version.
